“Guess the Birdies” Contest Participants

Birdies for Tampa Bay Charities and its “Guess the Birdies” contest is open to all participants eighteen (18) years of age or older. The contest is void where prohibited by law. A participant need not be present to win. No pledge, purchase, or donation is required to participate in the contest or to become eligible to receive a prize. A donation will not increase a participant’s likelihood of winning a prize. Restrictions apply to the Delta Air Lines Travel Vouchers.

No Purchase Necessary Entry: During the donation period, contestants may complete a “no purchase necessary” entry. The official form must be completed in-person at the Valspar Championship Tournament Office (address is found within document) between the hours of 10:00AM – 4:00PM Monday – Friday, excluding holidays. Limit of one (1) “no purchase necessary” entry per person and per household.

Odds of Winning: Only one (1) grand prize will be awarded for the “Guess the Birdies” contest. The chances of winning the grand prize are based solely on guessing the correct number of birdies made during the 2025 Valspar Championship and the actual number of participants who submit the correct guess. In the chance that no one individual guesses the number of birdies correctly, the grand prize will go to the individual closest to the actual number of birdies, not over the actual number.

In the case of a tie (or ties), the tournament will select the winner by utilizing the tiebreaker question on the donation form. Should there be a following tie (or ties) from those answers, there will be a random drawing among the finalists.

The exact number of birdies made during the Valspar Championship will include all birdies made by PGA TOUR players beginning Thursday, March 20 and ending Sunday, March 23, 2025, plus any birdies made during a playoff round (if applicable).

In the event of any disruption to the Valspar Championship tournament play due to cancellation, inclement weather, or other conditions, the following number of birdies shall be added to the total number of birdies made presently to determine a final amount made during the competition rounds.

  • 54-hole Tournament – 200

  • 36-hole Tournament – 400

  • Entire Tournament Cancellation – 1,000

A $20 donation is equal to one (1) guess. Participants are limited to thirty (30) total “Guess the Birdies” submissions per donor. If more than thirty (30) guesses are submitted by an individual, only the first thirty (30) guesses received and recorded will be eligible for prizes.

Copperheads, Copperhead Charities’ Board of Directors, Valspar Championship staff members, and family members of the aforementioned charitable organizations are not eligible for the grand prize.

All “Guess the Birdies” contest prizes are subject to change without notice at any time, and at the sole discretion of the Valspar Championship and Copperhead Charities’ Board of Directors. “Guess the Birdies” contest prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. The prize winner is responsible for any applicable taxes related to the prizes and additional spending.

Tiebreaker Question

In honor of the Valspar Championship and its programming, the tiebreaker question will work congruent to the Spring Break at the Valspar Championship program. Inspired and implemented, the special week includes a number of unique player and fan-friendly initiatives. Within the donation form, donors will be asked how many PGA TOUR players they think will participate in “Spring Break at the Valspar Championship” by adding a nickname to their caddie bib.

Players can choose the nickname or social handle they would like on the back of their caddie bib. The number of PGA TOUR players participating in the program will be guessed upon and used in the case of a tie (or ties) to determine the “Guess the Birdies” contest winner.
